Biography

Origins

Born on Samos. He studied Business Administration and Film in Athens, drawn to stories that move between psychological drama, mystery and existential search.

Beginnings

His first short, Milk (Γάλα, 2008), shot on 16mm, won Best Student Short Film at the Drama International Short Film Festival. Shorts that travelled and were awarded at international festivals followed — among them A Buddy Already Dead (2016), which took an international distinction in Thailand. On all of them he works across every stage, from script to edit.

First feature

In 2023 he made his feature debut with In a Fishbowl (γυάλα), a psychological thriller shot entirely on Samos, co-produced with the Greek Film Centre and the Region of North Aegean. The film is a study of memory, isolation and the boundaries between reality and perception.

Internationally

In a Fishbowl screened at the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival and at the Los Angeles Greek Film Festival, and was released internationally as A Clínica.

Samotherium

Alongside directing he writes, produces and makes audiovisual work. He is a founding member of Samotherium / Σαμοθήριον, through which he works in the cultural life of Samos and organises film and music festivals, among them the Samos Cinema Festival.
